Seven errors I still make—plus the quick fixes that keep outlines clean.
Common Rabbit Drawing Mistakes
My recurring errors and the fast fixes that keep outlines clean.
Error list
Ears too high, head-body ratio off, tail too big, leg thickness mismatch, eyes too high, shaky lines, 3/4 perspective drift.
Three-step correction flow
Redraw spine, lower ear base/eye line, shrink tail; pull one ear back in 3/4.
Quick health check
Ear base below eye line, tail smaller than eye, matching line weight, one ear behind head in 3/4.
Export and handoff
When I need a quick clean-up, I drop the line into Rabbit Retouching Lab. For thicker, stylized lines, I test inside Rabbit Sketch Studio. If I want fresh poses to avoid repeating mistakes, I regenerate trace starters in How to Draw a Rabbit.
